The Black Island

Located 24km north of Flores, Corvo is the remotest and smallest island of the Azores archipelago covering an area of just 17km squared. Along with Flores, Corvo was the last island to be discovered by explorers in 1450 and is still an island infrequently visited by tourists. Fewer still stay overnight.
